Art project:TIME AFTER TIME CAPSULE(2014-)
An art project that started in 2014 and continues to travel the world, moving on into the future.
The theme of this urban, participatory art project is “Can Kawaii, as a microcosmos of one’s personal tastes change the world?” Transparent time capsules have been displayed in museums and cities, and workshop events have been held to put in your own kawaii objects (representing one’s own private world, created via one’s personal and unique feelings). Masuda himself has traveled around the world and has held similar events in 12 cities around the world. The transparent time capsules turned radiant via the colorful letters and other items imbued with the givers’ thoughts, and by carrying these, the capsules became the vanguards of a movement to “share the future”. The shapes of the capsules were created representing a figure loved by children around the world.
都市型・参加型のアートプロジェクト。テーマは『“Kawaii”の集合体で世界は変えられるのか？』。自分だけのKawaiiもの（自分だけの小宇宙、個人的で特別な思い入れ）を透明なタイムカプセルに納入するイベント、そこに集まる人々、納入されたカラフルな中身、そうして作られたタイムカプセルなど全てが作品なります。2020年の東京を1つのゴールと見据え、「未来をシェアする」運動体としてのアート作品です。
