Special Exhibition ALICE×DOLL – Alice and Dolls in Wonderland
This exhibition introduces the history and reception of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” in Japan, and presents new and old works by 16 contemporary artists using dolls as motifs.
The 16 artists, who express their own interpretation of Alice, work with a variety of materials, including ceramics (bisque dolls), paper (papier-mache), cloth (plush toys), and stone sculpture (dolls with spherical joints). Please enjoy the world of each artist.

企画展ALICE×DOLL ー不思議の国のアリスと人形ー
本展ではルイス・キャロル原作の「不思議の国のアリス」の日本における受容とその歴史についてご紹介し、更には、現代で活躍する人形をモチー フとした作家 16名の新作・旧作を展示いたします。
アリスを独自の解釈として表現する16名の作家は、陶器 (ビスクドール)、 紙 (張子)、布(ぬいぐるみ)、石塑 (球体関節人形) など様々な素材で制作されています。 それぞれの世界をお楽しみ下さい。
